No Broom for Error

"On your whimsical quest to find Candy, use your trusty Vroomstick™ to swerve around obstacles as you brew your way to victory before Halloween ends!"

About

No Broom for Error is an endless runner game made in Unity. It was the first game project we made at The Game Assembly. This was my first game I made with Unity, so I learned a lot about how Unity's component system works and got a lot of insight into the systems the game engine is built on. During this project I worked on player movement and controls, and overcame problems with friction, where to place colliders on the player, and how to make the controls feel as good as possible. I also worked on a lot of the obstacles in the game, like the homing ghosts and falling trees.

Contributions:
  • Worked on player movement, controls, collision and implementing animation.
  • Worked on animated obstacles that are triggered via trigger boxes.
  • Worked on homing obstacles that track the player and try to predict and block the players path.
  • Worked on breakable obstacles with effects for when they brake.
  • Added plenty of sounds and music effects.
